import points makes arcds disappear.

I have been useing micro survey for years, but I have never figured out how to stop this. when you create a arc VIA cogo (1..2..3) and then import points - 1, 2 and 3 from an ascii file it destroys the arc. (note the position of 1,2,3 are always the same) I have tryied this with different point prot...

I am working in MSCAD2005

I tried the "object" command, in the commandline, my computer doesn't recognise it.

I am unable to click or select the image in any way.

It is possible that the original location of the image changed or was delete (I am on a new computer).

inserted picture will not delete

Hello everyone, Some time ago I placed a screen capture into micro survery so that I could trace a line and get it in to my drawing.

It seems I can't remove this picture now.

I can't seem to "select" this picture, in order to delete it.

Ideas?

DWG problem

Hey , we have been having a persistent and recurring problem when DWG files are opened in MS 2005. We have a number of files saved with MS2004, that we now open in MS2005 (after saveing in 2004 DWG). The issue may, or may not, be related to the 2004/2005 way we are working is that the points in the ...

possible bug.

Can someone please confirm this. It is driving me nuts! Do "ascii_in" to import a text file. - it will open up a menu to select the file (after asking for format). Try to get out of this menu -with out selecting a file- (use "cancel/close/"X")- I can't ..... only way I have got it to work is to tell...

Thanks again for the reply glen.
Although this is not the information I wanted to hear, I appreceiate you providing reliable and clear information on the subject.

I think we will look in to "down gradeing" out 2008 liecences to 2005, so that our office can all work together again.

Glen thank you for your time, I will have to read your post a few more times to get my head around the exact implications of it. However, from the custermer stand point , I would like to know what the plans are for future versions. My boss isn't going to go for upgrading all our software to 2008, an...

Okay so basically what I need is 1 common files format that we can all use, from 2004- to 2008. Is that file format ACAD 2004 (I would assume the newest would work best). Or R14? I am still trying to sort out in my head all these data base issues. I know that when, in MS2005, you save a 2004DWG file...

we seem to have trouble with all these formats.

I have been opening up old FLX files, in 2004. Then saving as 2004 DWG
2005 seems to open these fine.
2008 gives a "can't find data base error"

sorry, a bit off topic, but with regards to ms2005 and newer that work with DWG files.

Is all the point number info in the DWG file now, .. or do you still need the "data base" (.msd?) file.

Can I email a DWG file, and that has all the info for another person to do calcs in microsurvey?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I did find a PGP file in the system, it was under a "support" folder. I opened it up(note pad), and it has the type of command you mentioned would be in there. However it appeared this was a "demo" file. I still can't get this to work. How is it that you link the "pgp" file to d...

short cut keys for mscad 2005

Hello all , hopefully a quick question here. you can asign alias to cad comands, for example: c = copy (or some set this to circle) l = line I would like to assign one of them to "cogo" but as this is not a CAD comand it is not avalible in the menu. You can use "atl -key" for them , but that is kind...

I have found that the issues I am haveing are related to the ddunit --- angle -- base angle = 0 thing.

It all works well when it is set to 0 , but seems to keep reset to 270, and I keep switching it back.

Is there something I am doing that keep setting it back to 270?

Hello, Kevin with Douglas surveys here.

Just wanted to mention that I had this same problem. and it is now fixed.

It may be due to haveing set(by accident) the bearing as "NSEW" rather then azimuth.

That is a guess though.

Thanks all.

Is it possible that you have the independent point numbers on?

Try typeing "IPN"
releated, is also "IPD" for descriptions.

PS you could have just come up to the 6th floor and asked me. :)
