Re: MSCAD 2015 Crashing

It appears to be helping with my crashing, but it has done nothing for my 'Right Mouse Button' setting. i.e. I have my Right Mouse Button set to bring up the Short Cut Menu when an entity is selected, however, 6/7 times out of 10 it will repeat my last command instead of bringing up the Short Cut M...

Re: MSCAD 2015 Crashing

The crashing was ridiculously bad for me. So bad that I gave up on 2015 and just kept using 2014. I recently went back to it for one last try, figuring that it must be just one random setting that I have overlooked. After a bit of investigation, it turns out I was right. I have fixed my crashing pro...

Re: Lock a polyline viewport

Glad I could help.

You could also use the draw order command to send the polyline under the viewport, or I think its also safe to delete the polyline once you have created the viewport as well. (Don't test that theory with something important though :D )

Re: Lock a polyline viewport

After you have created your viewport, select it by using a crossing window. At the top of your properties panel the drop-down should now read 'All(2)'. Click on the drop-down and it should show 'Polyline(1)' and 'Viewport(1)'. Select viewport and you can adjust the properties.

Hey Eric, I just want to let you know that you're not alone in your loathing of the new entity property window (and I admire your persistence  ). I have been nodding in agreement to your previous thread, and I want to second every single item you bought up above. The Snaps! Ugh! Can I just add...

Exporting 2010 toolbars to 2013 and other stuff

2013 Does not have the image toolbar that was in 2010. If I export the Image toolbar from 2010 and import it into 2013 will it work? Also, is it possible for me to re-jig what appears in the right click pop-up menu (the one that appears when you right click when the grips are on)? Also, I'm sure the...

Re: Copy layers etc between dwg's -2013

Hey Richard, It's a bit difficult for me to describe how very much I hate this (not without resorting to some very un-ladylike language which would likely get me banned from here for life). However, if you copy an entity which is on the desired layer from one dwg to another, it doesn't re-name the l...

Re: MSCAD 2013 slow to respond

That will teach me to get all excited about a new release. It's too slow for me as well :( Same as wfd144, I have a 2.4GHz processor & 2.93GB of RAM. The response speed is just not good enough for regular use. I am also ending up with lots of 'ghosts' of dialog boxes etc on my dwg space. I thought t...

Re: Inserting a paragraph of text into a drawing.

You can paste text into the Multiline text box using Ctrl V. If you cant see anything after doing that, highlight the black space in the box (left click drag) and then change the colour to white (there's some sort of bug you can read about in the knowledgebase). It's more than likely your text has a...

Thanks Brian. I don't suppose you could release a new update tomorrow by any chance? rwhatman: Yep, I know I can do it that way, and also a hundred different other ways, but they all involve a gazillion clicks and copying and pasting and selecting points etc. Yuk. I want to do it in 2 clicks ...

Please put ms_rotoline back the way it was!

I have always used the ms_rotoline command for its intended function but I have also used it to rotate blocks/symbols as well. I used it a lot. Every day. I know it wasn't supposed to, but it did, and it was excellent. Today I installed 10.7.0.5 and it only rotates text. Not blocks. I would rather ...

Re: EXPORTING WITH AN IMAGE INVOLVED.

I suspect that is where your problem may lie, especially if the logo is there when you print onto paper. (But if it's not...i dunno) If you don't have one, get yourself some pdf creation software for your computer. There are plenty of free ones out there (I use PDFCreator). Once it is installed you ...

Microsurvey Versions

This may be a silly question, but what controls the different versions (Premium/Standard/Basic) of Microsurvey? Is it the hardware lock or a separate program installation? If we already have a number of Premium licences but want to purchase some Standard ones, do we just receive 'Standard' locks whi...

This drawing setting drove me nuts for years when I was just using Intellicad (without Microsurvey). In your drawing settings : all you need to do is set your angular units to clockwise and type in your angle base as 0°00'. This will make the little pointer point to the east (annoying, I know). Leav...

Thanks for your prompt reply, Richard. I have done a couple of quick tests after setting my dwg default printer to pdf. Crashing when saving

Before I send a ticket for my problem, I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same thing. I cannot save a dwg which contains an image in mscad2010. I can bring in an image, manipulate it (scale it, move it etc) and I can even print it. BUT... the moment I press the save button...CRA...

Thanks for the replies, guys!
Turns out we only need the contours for now but I will definitely give your suggestions a shot Glen (jsut so I can learn something new). Would drawing the tin, exploding it a couple of times and the auto adding points to the lines that are left over do the same thing?

Hi guys! I Have no problem getting the m² to automatically appear. Go to the Lots and Areas labelling defaults setup and in the square measurement units box replace sq.m. with m%%178 in the box next to suffix . The font that I use (IC-isocp.shx) shows this as m² when the areas are generated. I think...
