Hiper II & GRX1

Did you guys ever make any headway on getting FG to work with the Hiper II / GRX1 receivers?

Re: Remove duplicate lines?

I've tried this LISP but it crashes out frequently when it hits lines that don't have a duplicate :/
Haven't had much luck finding one that will work on this drawing.

Remove duplicate lines?

Have a massive drawing that was created from a shapefile for lot fabric. Since I want CAD drawing, converted and exploded. Problem is I now have duplicate lines everywhere.
Is there a command that you can remove duplicate entities from a drawing that I can't find?
Thanks,
Gord

Raster borders show up as a line.......

Have multiple raster images and have inserted them into a drawing (gee that's too easy with georeferenced tifs!!!)
Problem is I'm seeing the border of each raster image as a line. Is there any way to have the raster borders not show?

Re: Topo Points

Well that would be too easy wouldn't it. (Sun shining hear Richard, you should try sorting these things out in God's country.) In a perfect world; check box in 'save point' screen tied to description or distinctively coded altogether. Imported FG file would result in another column in the coordinate...

Re: Topo Points

If you want symbols to work, use a preceding 0 or 1 or anything that will be at the start of your point list. You copy the description/associated symbol in the Automap to have two entries. Ie. "LS" inserts light standard symbol and so does "0LS" but description sorting puts 0LS at start of list to i...

Re: Averaged points not adjusted by localization?

How far in the future are you looking?
I know I get complaints daily from both field staff and whomever is looking at the job back in the office with pincushions at every corner tied in with RTK.

Re: Topo Points

I use a space as first character for description of points that I don't want in the DTM then use Point Editor to create the DTM. Sort point list by description, skip the points at the start of the list as everything that starts with a space comes alphabetically first, select everything else; right-c...

Re: Averaged points not adjusted by localization?

Sorry but you guys really missed the mark with FG version of RTK point averaging. See my suggestion re: being able to average multiple measurements for a single point.
Nothing about this way of having more than one measurement on a point works well in practice.

Averaged points not adjusted by localization?

Something I just noticed that I'm wondering if it's oversight by FG programming or if we have something set wrong. If we localize after having tied in some points and used point averaging for RTK shots, the averaged points don't adjust with the measured points.
Did I miss something?

Re: Nautiz/FieldGenius & Topcon HiPer II's

Only use Topcon software for creating Rinex files for post processing. Everything else just use MSCAD. All in all the combo seems to work fairly well. My only complaints about the FG would be with every GPS unit; lack of averaging shots so that you can have one point in the file with more than one t...

We're using the same combo. Seems to work okay; just noticed your post now....
How stable is your connection between the receiver & Nautiz? Any range issues on the bluetooth connection?

I'd prefer to be able to have it not even draw the line if you miss the point. I caught a couple of occasions where the drafter was drawing lines this way and ended up with a line that wasn't to the surveyed point. With point numbers layer turned off, you don't see that a new point was just created.

I have found that this is an excellent place to make the list. The boys over at Microsurvey follow closely what is said on this forum and when suggestions such as those in this thread are made, it does not fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes I guess would be the case with a forum :) When suggestions co...

..which is another thing to put on the wish list. Actually I could give you a long list of things that one should be able to quickly and easily do with the raw file. Basically, make it so that anything and everything that was entered by the user can be edited - if a user entered it, it's not raw dat...

Better yet, I wish they would just make the wiring inside such that you can put in rechargeable AA's and be able to plug it in to charge. All that's in the battery pack is 6 NIMH AA's but the Tracker is designed so that it won't charge with a bunch of AA's in it due to the fact that they can't trust...

Fence command is just a simple line that selects everything it crosses. I think I can do just what you're asking for by clicking on Window Polygon in the selection menu that comes up after running erase (or any other command looking for a selection set.) I don't know of an option that allows you to ...

I have no trouble using the fence command in MSCAD. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to do. Do you not mean a simple line that selects everything it crosses?

Offset polylines inconsistencies

How about fixing the inability to accurately offset a polyline? Why is it that when I try to offset a polyline, there are always multiple sections that are not correctly offset?
Would be nice to see that fixed.

It's the same thing I was looking at in 2008. Out of the blue, you will be able to see the tabs but they're not actually there. If you click on them, you're actually clicking in the drawing window and the tabs will disappear. Resizing the window brings them back.
