Re: Block/Automap MicroSurvey 2016

Brian I have updated my Automap file as you have suggested. Works ok. Thanks I have just found that you can't use the Automap Editor. Add a new description and the moment I picked save most layer descriptions were gone. I suggest anyone making any changes to Automap file make a backup first. Richard

Re: Block/Automap MicroSurvey 2016

Hi If you crash a lot then it may be the Automap file mscad.cvs . I had a problem with it and I have fixed it. When I changed the year I ended up removing the descriptions of the blocks. This caused a J-17 error on every point I read into drawing. The AutoMap file should be put in folder C:\programd...

Re: Points not deleting

Hi The fix for this is to save drawing and open with the Audit ticked. This will connect the points again. When you move, rotate Points it may disconnect. 2015 was bad for this. 2016 much better, but can still happen. Always look at you command line, if you do not see Coordinates rolling, then you h...

Re: DText doing strange things

I have seen this text issue.
I have a work around that may work for you.

Start every sentence with a Left Bracket.

Example: (Try this and you should be able to write a sentence.
When done all your sentences then remove the brackets.

Re: Prompt Boxes

I don't mind the prompt boxes, but under 2014, they insist on being in the middle of the viewport, so I have turned them off for the time being. If I drag the box to another location, it returns to the middle of the screen with the next mouse click. With 2010, the prompt box would stay where I put ...

Re: Original Datum and Units

Hi
You need to tie your survey to the datum that you want. Move, rotate to the known datum. Now set in the coordinate editor the system you move your drawing to.

Good to go now with google earth. Just WRITEKML file and your in.

Re: PRINTING TIFF problem

Hi Brian I figured out the problem. The tips very informative, but not helpful. Lets make it simple for me to remember for the next time. If the tif file size is over 500 KB it may not print. When I croped the drawing it went from 7,000 KB to almost 8,000KB The image was resize to 250 KB when saving...

PRINTING TIFF problem

I have printed drawings that had tiff images, today it wont print. I am in paper space and not Model space. Is that the problem. Tiff image was cliped , image in a image layer, Print is on. Re: Please put ms_rotoline back the way it was!

I have always used the ms_rotoline command for its intended function but I have also used it to rotate blocks/symbols as well. I used it a lot. Every day. I know it wasn't supposed to, but it did, and it was excellent. Today I installed 10.7.0.5 and it only rotates text. Not blocks. I would rather ...

Re: Saved with errors

I have never tried to copy paper space to paper space. Did you use MScopy. Why I ask is if you tile a drawing and try to copy from one window to the next window you get a ERROR. The program thinks your coping from one drawing to another drawing when your not. Try mscopy and see if that makes a defer...

Re: Saved with errors

I did test Embeded Cad as will, found the Cad engine very good. Open every old drawing I tried with no problem. Saying that. Most of my old drawings are 2000 version or better. In the felix days there was a conversion problem that not many knew about. I had few say that my drawings crashed for them....

Re: Saved with errors

This came back to bight again today and playing about I found if I deleted all files except the dwg or put the dwg in a separate folder and opened the dwg with audit checked then it opened and saved and I could then get on with work. Running an audit seemed to fix the problems. I suspect it was one...

Re: coordinate file not matching drawing file

If your Point Protection was ON the points would not have scaled. All the line work would have.

To fix, turn off point protection and scale the points.

See Help desk if you need more help.

Hope this helps.

Hi, the Status Bar itself can be turned on/off via the View menu (View | Status Bar), but the individual elements displayed in the status bar can only be set via a right-click on the status bar as you discovered. F6 to F10 may be used to turn on and off status Bar Options. You can right click on fr...

Turn your end snap on. You may see it on, but its not. Just turn it off and then on. There is times when the drawing is not updated and you have to save, exit then come back in. Now a word of warning don't try to change thoes arrows, and I my self would not even try to to snap to one. For MicroSurve...

Why the change. It works well, but the WARNING is what bothers me. Looks like you have tied styles 1 to 5 to these scales. Seems to me that it was not needed a the Drawing Scale factor has done well in the past. I use input scale factor (0.3048) to type feet units and have it write metric units. I u...

Locked program using Print Preview in the Active Coordinate Editor in
MicroSurvey CAD 2010.

Don't use mouse middle Wheel as you can't get out of it.

Had to force a program to stop running and you will get a little report
on details.

I am back to Bug have a great day.
