MSCad 2004 on new computer - Toolbar issues

I am working to get all my toolbars back the way I like them. For some reason, a few of them are greyed out. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: Raster

When plotting with a raster image, I'm having trouble getting the lines I've drawn to appear "on top" of the image. Any help is appreciated. Also, the image i'm using is larger than the area I'm plotting if that makes a difference. Thanks Just use Drawing Order on the Frame of the Raster image and ...

Image not appearing when plotting

I inserted an image under Raster->Insert Image and it looks fine on the screen. However, when I try to plot it, it does not appear. The preview screen shows it, but it is simply an outline when I print.

Creating contours

Glen, Thanks for the quick response! I attempted to watch the movies on contouring just now and was told that the links are broken. The data is already out of the collector and is now in the drawing file, ready to go. I did find some more things in the help file and created a boundary for the area I...

How do I edit the icad.lin file?

I'm sure this is a simple thing, but I am new to the drafting side of things.

Thanks in advance!

Help! Font file missing??

HELP!! I'm new to using MSCad, and somehow the font files are missing! When I click on the DIST button on the LABELS toolbar, it gives me this error... ERROR: Unable to find font file. If anyone can tell me where to look or what might cause this problem I would greatly appreciate it. We are running ...

Actually, I was using a .ctb style that I created. So I checked the settings for the .ctb again, and found the problem. Thanks.

Plotting Linetypes

When I plot from 2005 my linetypes don't come out. All of the lines come out as continuous. I know it is probably a setting for linetype scale factor. Can somebody tell me where to change it? I know how to change it in my drawing (ltscale) but not for my plots. Thanks.

Editing Text in 2005

Quick question for you. In 2004 you can modify the text alone (not style, color, etc.) by simply clicking on the text. How can I do that in 2005? The only way I have found to edit the text in 2005, is to bring up the huge modify text box where you can change everything about the text. That is annoyi...

Right-click shortcut menu

How do I turn off the right-click shortcut menu in 2005?

I know it can be done, because I had it turned off before. I recently had to re-install the program and now have to recreate all of my personal preferences.

Curves in 2D or 3D

I don't usually do anything in 3D, if I can help it. I draw everything as if it is 2D, even if I am drawing at different elevations by connecting points brought in from the field. My problem now is that I can't just draw a simple curve between points. In 2004, I would just "connect the dots" and mak...

What happended to me today was after I tried to UNDO a couple of steps, the entire area of the drawing I had been working on disappered and I couldn't get it back. Since I was using UNDO when it happened, I tried REDO, but it said there was nothing to REDO.

I agree that may work, however my employer is not ready to go that far. He would rather we "just not worry about it". I don't like that approach, because the next time he is going to want me to attach a raster, he is going to forget that I can't print them out. And yet, he doesn't want us uninstalli...
