Datum Grid Editor question.............

Postby ianw2 » Wed May 31, 2006 12:19 pm

A question regarding use of the Datum Grid Editor to which I haven’t found the answer in the documentation:

In my practice in Southern California, I work mostly within the confines of NAD83 Zone CA VI (CA406). Occasionally, I venture north into Zone V. Do I need separate Grids for these two zones or is the grid merely a lat/lon function and the grid based on the calculated SPC values for these zones based on zone constants?

You can use the Datum Grid Editor to make a single set of mapping files for the entire extents of your working area. Then inside FieldGenius, you will just need to switch between zones IV or V in the rover/reference profiles.
