HI, HERE IS A QUESTION FOR THE PROGRAMMERS. I HAVE A TRIMBLE MS750 RECIEVER THAT I USE AS A BASE STATION. IT HAS NO MEMORY ONBOARD AND UNTIL NOW I HAVE HAD TO USE THE TRIMBLE DATA COLLECTOR AND SOFTWARE TO GET A .DAT FILE THAT I CAN SEND TO OPUS. MY QUESTION IS WOULD FIELD GENIUS BE ABLE TO GET THE FILE IF I TURNED ON THE TRACE LOG THEN STARTED DATA LOGGING. THEN AFTERWARD DELETED THE LINES CREATED FROM THE BUTTON PUSHING AND RENAMED THE FILE AS A .DAT.
WOULD THIS WORK? I REALLY NEED A WAY TO BYPASS TRIMBLE ON THIS. IF IT WONT WORK COULD SOMBODY TELL ME WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO WRITE A PROGRAM THAT WOULD CAPTURE THIS FILE...

No, the Tracelog file, the FieldGenius .RAW file, and the Raw Data Logging .DAT files are all different. FieldGenius can start and stop the raw data logging on some receivers, but the data logging is done directly on the receiver. Without having any onboard memory, FieldGenius will not be able to do this on your receiver.
