Is there any reason I can not use an aftermarket screen protector on my yellow tracker? Thanks, Dennis

Hi Dennis,

There shouldn't be any problems as long as whatever you're using is designed as a screen protector for PDA devices.

screen protector

Dennis...

What kind of screen protector do you use or plan on using?

Where did you find them?

TIA

A screen protector is an absolute must on every field machine.

Dust will chew up a touch screen in no time.

I just found a generic pda screen protector and cut to size.

I recently purchased some trimble equipment that came with the TDS Recon data collector. Included was a package of screeen protectors made for the recon so that's what I used. It's a pretty good fit. There are a number of websites that sell Recon stuff as well as screen protectors.

SCREEN PROTECTORS

Post by Richard Sands » Wed Nov 07, 2007 6:29 pm

Randy, my understanding is they were standard ones - I gave them the size and the cash and they just turned up.
Ed Henderson put me onto them and I am more than satisfied with them. They come neatly packaged - very professional.

There is a vendor that will custom cut them at no extra charge. I have recommended them to several others and they have heard positive feedback. The screen size is 54mm X 72mm and 15 sheets sells for US$9.99. You will find them at www.screenguardz.com
regards Richard
