Could we please have a (quick) way fo finding 'Comments' in the data collected in the field.
Unless I'm mistaken the only way is to peruse the Raw Data file but that's tedious as there is nothing to indicate what is an actual comment.

I frequently use comments and it is time consuming and in large files easy to miss some, several, comments added in the field.

It would be appreciated if you add this to the FieldGenius user feedback forum so other users can comment on it.

g'day Jason
I've discussed why I don't use that area for these things.
As mentioned several times there are some things that don't really need voting on as they are not NEW features.(Thats my thoughts)
They should be in the form of Bug fixes or something not quite taken right through to completion.
Otherwise its just a feature that really isn't a feature if you get my drift.
As programmers I would not think you would need feedback-votes on a poorly devised, or not quite working right feature of any program to make a change.

In this case (Comments in the Field Genius) one has a very useful and important feature that is there for a dedicated purpose.
But to retrieve that useful information is not straight forward.
So the question could be asked why its there in the first place? What is its purpose?
And if that purpose is to convey information how is that information retireved?
It's not picked up by Mscad, its 'parent software', and its not easy and very time consuming to find a comment hidden in the raw data.

I'm happy to give constructive and useful comments where this or that needs something fixed/ amended that is not quite right or 'polished' enough.
We should be able to suggest, comment on these sort of things that should not, do not, need a vote to fix. They are not 'feature requests' nor 'features your would like added or improved'. Improved yes - but thats different to plain old 'fixed' so it wiorks.
I know I'm not alone on this as others have commented here, some PM'd me.

regards
Richard

Richard,

I disagree with you, I don't consider this a defect and in my opinion it is a feature request. I don't want to continue having these discussions with you why you don't want to use the feedback forum. If you choose not to use it that is your decision.

You have to imagine that we get literally hundreds of feature request every year. What might seem like an important feature, or change, or bug fix to you, might be trivial or not important to another. We don't have time to fix every bug, nor do we have time to add every feature request. The feedback forum allows us a way to log and keep track of what features THE MAJORITY of our customers want us to work on.

So please stop putting your feature requests in the user forum. It doesn't help us, and it doesn't help you.
