Point cloud linework reference grid

I get an unhandled exception error when I try to extract points using the reference grid. I have the grid set to 0.5m x 0.5m with lowest point selected at a search radius of 0.01m, and the grid search radius set at 0.01m as well. I also get the same error if I set the two search radii to 0.2m. Is there a minimum grid size in the program?
