toolbars will not move to where I want them to go

Post by DEREK » Fri May 05, 2006 10:36 am

In MS 2004, how on earth do I regain control of my toolbar placement.
I cannot move my toolbars to where i want, it only allows me to to place a single toolbar per horizontal space creating a tower of toolbars that shrink my drawing space to mere sliver, please help.
(I have already reinstalled MS 2004.)

After a MSCAD2004 crash and if the toolbars act up, try this:

In Windows pick on the Start Button -> Run, type in REGEDIT and press enter.

You can delete the following key in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MSCAD2004\MSCAD2004

You have to be very careful in the REGEDIT command because if you delete or change anything else in there other than this one key, you could cause yourself a lot of grief.

If you need assistance with this either have a IT person assist you or feel free to contact me directly.

After thit has been deleted all the palettes appear again the middle of the drawing screen. Then you can close the ones you don't want and move the others around. They should behave now for you.
