Rendering problem

Postby Alex Leonard » Sat May 13, 2006 7:59 pm

I've got a "drawn" polyface TIN, nicely color mapped, saved, thawed etc.
Both the quick-render and full-render start OK, but quit after completing about 1/4 of the image.
The portion that is completed looks great, but I can't seem to get the program to finish the job...

Hmm, I have not seen any issues like this before with rendering. If you would like to email me the drawing, I would be happy to try it here to see if I can suggest anything for you to look at trying.

Cheers,

Rendering work-around

Postby Alex Leonard » Mon May 15, 2006 11:40 am

For anyone who is following this thread, FYI
Glen provided a work around that got me back on my way:

I seems that there may be a limitation in ICad with respect to rendering poly-face meshes - it may be a memory limitation (my surface had a lot of nodes).
The limitation did not however apply to a surface composed of 3-D faces (this is not the default TIN drawing mode). So after redrawing my surface in this mode, rendering worked fine.
