Automap XYZ and Curves

Post by roberts2 » Sat Jun 17, 2006 9:52 am

I'm confused on how to code curves. The X code goes on the 1st point into the curve, not the beginning, correct? How would I code a reverse curve or a compound curve. IE:

101 Point on line
102 Beginning of curve
103 point on curve
104 point on curve
105 point of reverse curve
106 point on curve
107 point on curve
108 end of curve
109 point on line

Could someone give me the correct prefixes to accomplish this.

Thank You.

101 Z
102 Z
103 X
104 X
105 X
106 X
107 X
108 X
109 Z

This creates a straight line from 101 to 102 and a polyline from 102 to 108 which represents the reverse curve, and finally a line from 108 to 109.

All curves drawn with Z codes are actually polylines through the points, not arcs. So one continuous polyline would represent a reverse curve or compound curve situation.
