Scaling Viewports.......................

Post by ianw2 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 2:19 pm

When scaling the viewport from Layout View, I use the Modify > Properties command from the pulldown to change the scale. The scale listed there is an inverse of the drawing scale. For example, if the drawing is to plot at 1” = 50, the viewport scale will show as 0.02.

This window seems to be set to display only 2 places to the right of the decimal point.

I can set the viewport to plot at 1” = 150’, but the scale in the properties dialogue box only shows 0.01.

Question: Is there any way to reset the significant figures in this box to display to the nearest 10,000? Is this hard coded or is it a variable?

This is controlled by the LUPREC (Linear Unit Precision) drawing setting. At the commandline, type LUPREC then enter the desired precision value. Or, graphically, go to Cad Tools > Drawing Settings, then on the Drawing Units tab, Change Settings for: "Linear Units", then set the Display Precision to the desired value instead of 2.
