Not sure of command or if even possible

Post by camland » Wed Sep 13, 2006 7:07 am

Hi All,

I have heard of talk about having 'hot tips' in cad files. I am not sure if this is the right term, but if you have a manhole in your plan, you can move your mouse over top if it and it will popup attributes about the manhole (like inverts, diameters, etc).

Is this possible?

Thanks
Chad

Of course it will not print out, it is just for user reference

You can have a block that contains attributes that can be entered when the block is being inserted, or edited later. Those attributes can be shown on screen or kept invisable. I do not know of a way to have it so the mouse is simply moved over the block and have the attributes be displayed automatically. You can query the block at any time to see the attributes, but this does require running a command.
