Postby Stephen_P » Fri Aug 08, 2008 10:09 am

I am sorry it may be an old question. what is the fast way to convert a metric drawing containing lines, contours, dimensions etc into an imperial drawing ?

Thanks.

Search in the Help file for "Re-scale with a Unit Change", no quotes. This should give you what you are asking about.

Time you read all that help you could have had it done.

1. Change drawing scale units from Metric to feet.

2. Scale drawing by 3.28084 make sure you use a line that has a 0.00 elevation on it.

3. Redraw contours as thay don't convert.

Done

First, if you are working in a drawing unsing state plane coordinates. understand whether you are to use US Survey Feet or Internatioal Survey Feet. It will make a big difference, but only if working in State Planbe Coordinates.
