Break lines

Postby azstew » Wed Oct 15, 2008 2:29 pm

I have connected the desired points making my breaklines, extracted points to surface(clear before extract checked), unchecked clear and extracted breaklines.

However, the TIN that's created draws polyfaces across the breaklines.

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong, and how to stop crossing breaklines?

Without seeing the drawing it is hard to confirm what is going on. It could be that the breaklines are not being used due to their being at incorrectly drawn elevations. It could be that the triangles do not in fact cross the breakline but may in fact follow the breakline, making it look like it crosses.

If you would like us to look into this further, please go to our helpdesk on the support page of this web-site, and enter in a support ticket. Also Email me the drawing, so we can check it out. Then we can determine what is actually happening for you, and why.

Break lnes

It appears you are correct.

TIN Lines that "crossed" breaklines are actually broken at the breakline.

I confirmed this by "ID endpoint", and everything appears OK.

I must have connected a couple sets of points incorrectly.

Thanks for your prompt response.
