CHANGE FILE PATHS TO OPEN DRAWINGS AND AUTOCAD FONTS

Postby raconsultnv » Sun Jan 25, 2009 10:04 pm

I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE PATH TO OPEN A DRAWING ... SO UNDER CAD TOOLS ...., OPTIONS, THEN CLICK FILE PATHS, I INCLUDED THE SEARCH PATH TO FIND MY FILES ..... BUT IF I THEN GO TO THE FILE MENU AND CHICK OPEN IT DOES NOT DIRECT ITSELF TO MY SEARCH PATH ... ANY HELP THANKS
ALSO CAN WE INCLUDE A PATH TO ACAD FONTS, SO WHEN I OPEN THESE VERY LARGE AUTOCAD DWGS, IT DOES NOT HAVE TO SUBTITUTE ICAD.TXT FOR AUTOCAD TXT. THANKS RA

FILE PATHS

Postby Richard Sands » Sun Jan 25, 2009 11:19 pm

Assume 2009?
I justy copy and paste the path of the home directory (my case C:\JOBS_09) into the 'File path' option. Then it gets odd as though it does work the result is 'C:\ProgramData\MicroSurvey\MSCAD\2009\qs;C:\ProgramData\MicroSurvey\MSCAD\2009\mscad;C:\ProgramData\MicroSurvey\MSCAD\2009\design;C:\JOBS_09
But the path it looks for is C:\JOBS_09
I think the other paths are used for the other parts of the program.
I was told this is being looked at.
As to the Fonts - I just put all my CAD fonts in the directory where it reads them from - can't remember where that is just now.
