old flx issue

Post by GBS » Thu Jan 29, 2009 8:17 pm

I have an older computer that still has 2001 version. There are some flx files that i need in order to make an ascii to use with the 2008 version.

The problem that i have is that the 2001 version won't work. It tries to start up but says "nil" and just stops. Is there any older help files associated with this?
I ran the norton antivirus and also an adaware and spybot check.

Is there any way to resurrect my 2001 version?

Join the club mate!
If you don't do any good send me an email with the zipped flx and I'll change it for you.

Look on your entire hard drive for the file called f4i_stup.lsp
You will probably have 2 copies show up after you scan the entire hard drive. You will see one that has zero bytes for it's size and the other one will say 6kb in size. The one that is set to zero needs to be deleted.

The good copy will be found in the C:\MSCAD2001\common folder, the other will probably be in the C:\MSCAD2001 folder.

Once you find and delete the bad copy - the MicroSurvey CAD 2001 program should run again.
