COGO & DESCRIPTIONS

Postby Richard Sands » Thu Apr 30, 2009 2:19 am

Currently COGO uses the Description of the existing point following the one picked in the 'Point Number' prompt.
This can be annoying if one keeps changing the point number from which to COGO from rather than just a continuing traverse type COGO operation where it maintains its description.
So if Point 34=NS, 35=CP, 36=ORM, then if I COGO from 34 the default Description offered would be ‘CP’ taken from point 35, and if its COGO from 35 then the Description offered would be 'ORM' (from Point 36) and so on.

I would prefer it holds the last Description input by user no matter what the point number is chosen, until changed by the user.

What do others feel about this?
regards
Richard

I agree it is annoying to have to change the description.

I have entered this suggestion into our feature tracking software so it can be examined by the development team, as appropriate.

This feature looks like a good idea. I suggest having the last azimuth and distance remembered too. Or is there an option that I am not seeing where it can be done?
