2009, Win 7 and curvy leaders

I know its in the Known Issues, but are there plans to resolve the issue with the curvy leaders? I had to get a new PC, and 2009 is all I can use. Having to reset the drawing every time I draw a leader is going to drive me insane quickly.

If you have Windows 7, download Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode from the Windows webside. (Just type in XP Mode into any browser and you will find it.) The run MS in XP mode. Works great. You have to make sure you install MS while you are in XP mode though.

Sorry. Should've been more specific that I'm running 7 Home Premium, and XP mode is restricted to Professional and Ultimate editions of Windows 7.

Hi, Can you describe the problem you are having with curvey leaders? I know there is a problem snapping to them (to curved segments in any polyline) and i am optimistic that the upcoming IntelliCAD 7 release will address this. I have no time-frame on this, it is still in development. Your specific operating system (Windows 7 or XP) will not affect this behaviour.

Drawing a curvy leader causes the entire screen to go blank. I have to save and re-open the drawing each time I draw one. There is a fix mentioned in the Known Issues for 2009, but it doesn't work all the time.

If the workaround of changing the plinetype variable to 0 as discussed in the Known Issues page does not always work, I would recommend giving MicroSurvey CAD 2010 a try. I have never had any issues like this in 2010 with Curvey Leaders making the screen disappear, and I use Windows 7 64-bit. If you are on maintenance then it is a free upgrade anyways!
