Prompt History - Annoying little Bug

Postby Matthew Fore » Wed Mar 02, 2011 11:28 am

MicroSurvey 2010
Windows 7 64 Bit
Dual Monitor Setup

I use one monitor for the drawing environment and toolbars. I use the second monitor to put up the ACE or Traverse editor, email, etc. To increase my drawing area I've also moved the command dialog box from the bottom of the first screen over to the second. On alot of the commands, if the command prompt history is not the "active" window on the second monitor the command will not function properly.

Example - MSAnnotate/Add Line Labels/Auto Bearing/Distance

History Active - Pick Line, Right Click, Select Side for bearing, Done.
History "Inactive" - Pick Line, Right Click, cannot select side for bearing because it still wants you to select more objects ... have to make History active and then hit enter to continue.

Edit - Just read the previous topic. Probably related to Richard Sand's posts on active windows???

Hi Matthew, I'm unable to reproduce this, and haven't experienced this before (also using Windows 7 x64 with dual display). Can you use Jing Free (or anything similar) to create a quick video demonstrating the problem, and email it to me at [email protected], I may be able to spot a clue.

For anyone else reading this, we did confirm a bug if the IntelliCAD Prompt History window is open but minimized, then you cannot use a right-click as Enter. We will be working with the ITC to see if this can be fixed in a future release. Thanks Matthew!
