Hatching

Postby Minda Riley » Tue Sep 02, 2003 8:17 am

Lately I have been having problems with Hatching. For example, on a large site plan I am working on I have hatched all the buildings. This site plan has a lot of other things on it, such as contours, water courses, trees, etc. I have saved and closed the plan. Then upon reopening it, everything is great, EXCEPT the hatching which has disappeared! This has happened to me more than once, in more than one drawing. The weird thing is that it is relatively new. (I do remember other plans that were fine, with the hatching entact each time I opened it!) What is going on?

Hatching

Postby Glen Cameron » Tue Sep 02, 2003 12:13 pm

Unfortunatell I do not have an answer right now. All tests I have run here so far have worked.

Which Service Patch of MSCAD do you have installed (2, 3, or 4)? (Top left corner of the screen will tell you, when running the program) This may help me figure out what is happeneing and why.

Cheers,

Minda
Are you rotating your drawing after you hatch the drawing.

This could be your problem if you do.

When you save, the program does not save the drawings hatch pattern.

Then when you open the drawing the hatch will be gone.

Hello Minda,

Could you try typing REGEN at the command line and let me know if you then see your hatch?
