I was told that the service pack 2 was also to fix problems plotting. Our cannon IPF700 plotter takes 24-36 inch rolls of paper...which the plotter cuts off at 3 different standard sizes....24 x 17, 24 x 36, 24 x 48.....when plotting on the 24 x 17 the preview shows (portrait view) that the image is off the paper on both sides so we switch to landscape and the preview looks good....fitting the paper size perfectly. When plotted the image is actually turned 90 deg to the paper space leaving a huge gap outside the border needing to be trimmed off (wasting a lot of paper). Looks as though the issue is still remaining above.

Second issue....we have noticed that items frequently disappearing from our drawings. Ex: one of our office crew was working on a cad drawing for a subdivision, she saved it and then the boss took it home on his laptop to look it over and check her work. Upon reloading the drawing the following day they noticed that points in the drawing are gone, even though the editor shows they are in the drawing. The descriptions for the points have been obliterated mysteriously. Some linework disappeared....perhaps because our linework connects to the nodes for the points that disappear. All kinds of error messages appear during the loading of the drawing even though it was fine the day before.

Also on a few occasions the drawing has mysteriously corrupted overnight and would not reload the next day.

Have you checked to see if you have the most current printer driver for that device and your version of Windows?

Did the Boss take both the drawing and the database, or only the drawing home? If he did any editing to the drawing without having the database there as well, then they can get out of sync and cause the types of issues you have described.
