PLT file creation in MSCAD

Post by chadd » Tue Nov 24, 2015 11:44 am

Good day.

I just wanted to seek information on how to create a PLT file of a CAD drawing. I am an Alberta Land Surveyor and part of the digital submission requires adding a plt file. I have installed an HP500PS +HPGL2 driver but the output is either garbled or has a very poor resolution not to mention having too big of a file. Most of the plt file that I see prepared runs only to about 250-250Kb for a typical 24x40 drawing.

There is an article on the helpdesk describing this but it was published almost ten years ago.

If anybody could point me to the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I guess you can close this thread. I have opted to use .tif files instead using pdf creator.
