help suggestion

Post by Vincent Popish » Wed Nov 05, 2003 10:32 am

Hi:
Just a suggestion for the help files:
Show an example of what to enter for each command. Such as the rotate points command, do you enter 10D20'30" or 10.2030, does it rotate it to the right (ccs) or to the left (cs) when it is a positive number?
None of this is stated in the help file. This often true, the details of exactly how to do it are left out, so we have to experiment to find the answer. The reason that is a problem is that if you are doing a complicated job with lots of points in it, undoing the first failed attempt is hard to do.
So examples of what to do and what it accomplishes would be very helpful.
Thanks,

Much of the help file is taken from the CAD Engine help file (for all the CAD features) but we can look at trying to beef it up to include your suggestions.

Hi Vince,

In the next version, we're doing just that.

1) Prompts at the command line will have more information.

2) Dialogs will have updated "What's This?" help.

3) Updated Help System.

4) New movies.
