Can we write a plotter configuration file with Microsurvey? If not, can we download a driver somewhere?
Thanks
Carole

PCP file

MicroSurvey does not have the same printer configuration file as AutoCAD so we can not export such a file. I am not aware of any drivers or such that would help here either.

The PRINT.CFG file found in the \MSCAD2002\CFG folder is what contains our pen definitions, etc.

Here is part of the one I have on my system.

[DEFAULT]
LASTACTCONF=0
ISVALIDCONF=1
SAVECONFIG=1
USEINCH=0
PRINTMODE=0
CENTRE=0
POLYFILL=1
MARGINLEFT=6.35
MARGINTOP=6.35
MARGINRIGHT=12.7067
MARGINBOTTOM=12.7067
XINCHONPAPER=1
XDRAWINGUNITS=10
P_OFFSET_X=0
P_OFFSET_Y=0
P_ROT=0
[CONFIG_1]
PRNAME=test
COLOR=1
THICK=1
C_1=1.000
P1=1
C_2=0.000
P2=2
C_3=0.000
P3=3
C_4=0.000
P4=4
C_5=0.000
P5=5

It continues down to pen 255

C_255=0.000
P255=255
CIRCLESEGMENTS=1024

If you are trying to tell someone how to plot your drawing, you would simply have to tell them each colour you have used and then define the pen width you desire. They can then setup their own PCP file and if you do a lot of work with them, they can save the file and use it for all of your jobs, assuming you are doing the sme thing each time.
