Clip Board

Post by Rick W. » Wed Nov 24, 2004 9:31 am

I have been trying to copy points from the active coordinate editor and must be missing a step as it won't save to clip borad. I need to put point numbers, northings and easting to a drawing. This seams to be the best way if i could get to work
Any Thoughts

point list in the drawing

You have a couple of options that may work for you.
1) If you have the ADT window on screen and you highlight the points desired - then hit CTRL C to copy to clipboard - then exit the ADT and start the Text or Mtext commands, then paste the point list into the text window - you can place the text on screen.
2) There is a movie in the help file - Which shows you how to take the points from the ADT to Excel then using OLE insert the point list as a table. The movie is called "OLE - ADT coordinates to Excel to an embedded table"
