Help for Scanned image

Post by Stephen_P » Sat Apr 02, 2005 1:41 pm

Thanks for always quick response.

I have a plan. Can I scan this plan into computer and setup
as backgroup in MSCAD, so I can estimate the text height needed for
print without measuring with a scaler.

I read posts for part one, I tried to write drawing into external file
without creating internal part first, but I failed to do that. Does that
mean still need create internal part prior to exporting to external file.

Thanks again.

MSCAD2004 can bring in a raster (scanned) image and place it on screen. Just run the IMAGE command to do so. You may need to scale the raster after it is placed, to get it to the correct size. You can also move it if required. Just use the CAD commands to modify the raster as required.

When writing an external part - if you already have parts in this drawing, on the dialog that comes up listing the parts, there is a SELECT button. Use this to manually pick the entities that you wish to include in the external part you are creating. The part does not need to be created in the current drawing prior to creating it as an external part.

The tech note found here may help ... -parts.htm
