MSCAD 2005 & Updates

Postby CT » Sun May 22, 2005 6:01 am

Would it be possible to add under the Help Menu of MicroSurvey 2005 an item (or items) to Check for Updates for both MicroSurvey and Intellicad? Thanks!

Yes, we should add that to make it quicker to check for updates.

The IntelliCAD we use has been slightly modified to add more features to MicroSurvey CAD - for example if you play with the Undo in 2005 you will see it is vastly more powerful and reliable than previous versions.

The reason for this is we built into the CAD some extra processing to watch the coordinate database more carefully during undos. You will also notice the IPN speed is much faster when rolling the mouse wheel. This is due to our ability to connect directly to the redraw commands in the CAD.

For this reason upgrades will be supplied as a set - you cannot use a "Generic" IntelliCAD version to patch MicroSurvey CAD. We are now working with the IntelliCAD development team to make improvements as we get more experience with the CAD engine. As IntelliCAD releases Service Packs (scheduled to appear approximately 1 per quarter) we will be one of the first to release updates.

For now you can bookmark http://www.microsurvey.com/support/mscad for a quick link to the updates page.
