3d Piping

Post by shamus » Thu Jun 16, 2005 10:11 am

I am going to be starting a job where I am picking up pipes at a compressor station and I was wondering if microsurvey can handle creating a 3D isometric view of the pipes.

MSCAD can view and draw in Isometric mode as a CAD engine but we do not have any specific tools in the Surveying side of things to assist you there.

3D Pipes

The program has nothing like this built in as automated tools but if you are an accomplished 3D CAD draftsman, you can accomplish it using CAD commands. I can't go into details here as this is not a feature covered by support. There are several 3D commands and tools to draw 3D objects that you can explore, if you wish.
