Tick Marks at 50' intervals

Post by JustinBoynton » Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:19 pm

I need to mark the road in my drawing at every 50' interval (so if my road is 150', I would need to make 3 tick marks along the length of the road). I have a centerline for my road, and using cogo I can calculate where to put my tick marks. Is there a simpler way in MSCAD 2004?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Measure command

You could try the MEASURE command as it will place a cad point at the interval specified. Then set your point definition to be a tick (or whatever you wish). Keep in mind that all points will now look like the tick.

You could also have the measure command place your own Block instead of a point, at the specified locations, this way the rest of the points could remain as dots.
