Proposed Contours

Postby Wayne Waller » Tue Aug 02, 2005 1:53 pm

Hello!

I am working on a subdivision with several different streets. I can generate proposed contours for each street individually. How do I generate one set of contours for all the streets?

Thank You!

Contours

When you say you can do it for each street one at a time - what is different when you do it for all of the streets at the same time?

Are you using AutoRoute to generate a new surface for each alignment?
If so then the trick is to build the surfaces up as you go. In other words, Take your original ground surface - use AutoRoute to build the new surface with the road designed in it. Then use this last surface as the starting point for the next AutoRoute design to build yet another new surface. Continue doing this until all AutoRoutes have been designed. This will give you a final surface with all previous road details in it - then the contours will be created based upon this final surface.
