inserting raster image

Postby crater@hillsboroughcounty » Fri Jan 31, 2003 8:22 am

How do you set the scale for the image to match the drawing scale? I have found that I must put in a scale number of 14600 when using a drwing scale of 100.

There is no fixed formula because it depends upon what the original was scaled at on paper when scanned, the DPI, etc.

What I typically suggest is that you insert it once at any scale, then measure between two known locations - then Edit the Properties of the raster and change the scale by the ratio to get the distance between those known points, correct.

Once a raster is "stretched" or whatever term we want to use, can it be saved this way to be used again without going through the same process?
