Help! If it aint broke............

Postby johnnyhatesjazz » Mon Nov 21, 2005 8:47 am

Hi,
Just done something really stupid!
I'm running InCAD 2001 on Autocad 2002, and thought I'd check for upgrades. Thinking I was in luck, I ran the InCAD 2004 SP2 upgrade, with the result that I no longer have access to any InCAD commands! On starting AutoCAD I get:

C:\Program Files\ACAD2000\mscad.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it
needs.
AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load 'C:\Program Files\ACAD2000\mscad.arx'

Can you help?
I'm also wondering how come I missed the upgrade to InCAD 2004?

Thanks,

John.

If you installed the service pack for the 2004 version on top of the 2001 version, then you do have a little clean up to peform.

First, go to the add/remove programs and un-install the inCAD 2004 Service Pack.

Then re-install your original inCAD 2001 version.

The inCAD 2004 version has many fantastic improvements to the product, so we would definitely recommend it. If you want to try it out, just install the full inCAD 2004 product on your machine. It should run in a 30 day trial mode right away so you can test the features.

Thanks, Darcy...........I am a bit confused now as to what version of InCAD I've been using...is there anything I could look at to tell for sure?

I guess with Incad for Autocad 2006 on the blocks, the question is how much would it cost me to upgrade my Incad 2001 to 2004, and any thoughts of the cost then to migrate to 2006?

Thanks,

John.

You are using the 2004 version if you have the features on the upgrade tour pages:

mmmm....I think that shows I've not got 2004, so remind me of the costs to upgrade? I'm sure I never heard of this new release....is there a mailing list I should be on??

Thanks,
John.

Please contact your sales rep to confirm the cost of the upgrade (800-668-3312). Updates are always posted and discussed on this web-site, see keep an eye in here to ensure you keep current, or keep in touch with your sales rep.
