InCAD - current versions?

Postby Teresa » Tue Nov 08, 2011 6:28 am

My InCAD maintenance contract is up for renewal. I have InCAD that works for Autodesk's 2011 version, have Autodesk's 2012 sitting collecting dust on my bookshelf and know that Autodesk's 2013 version is due out in less than six months.
I feel like a bit of a broken record (or a scratched DVD)
What is planned for the future of INCAD? By "future" I mean both in the next six months and in the next few years.
Regards,
Teresa

I should add the words "mostly" to my statement above that I have InCAD that works for Autodesk Civil3D 2011....one thing that doesn't work is importing in field genious-collected field data. Ooops. :-) I currently use a get-around of opening up field genius desktop and exporting from that and then importing from that into InCAD 2011. I gather that the issue is my 64 bit operating system?

Of course, the easiest way to export from our data collection is using xml and importing directly into civil3D. That of course puts the points (and linework) into Civil3d's points database, not microsurvey's. Then one exports from Civil 3d a points file to import into Microsurvey.

We are currently working on our next version of MicroSurvey CAD and all our development efforts are devoted to that project at the moment. It is currently in beta.

Once we release MicroSurvey CAD 2012 and the dust settles, we will have time to evaluate inCAD.
