TDS GPS Raw Data File import

Post by ianw2 » Thu Mar 11, 2004 10:11 pm

I have been using MicroSurvey products to handle the import and processing of TDS files for a good few years, as Jason can attest.

Now that I have a Topcon HyperLite GPS system, using TDS Survey Pro on a Recon, I'd like to continue to rely on MicroSurvey for my data "handling". Unfortunately, when I "import" the raw data file, I get no values other than the calculated positions for the control or property corners. None of the data files are processed. I understaood that MicroSurvey2004 was capable of processing GPS Raw Data files.

Am I missing something?

Can you email me a set of your data from the GPS for me to examine?

Examining the RAW and JOB files you sent – the JOB file we can not read at all being it is in a compiled or binary format – the RAW file is in a format that we can scan but we obviously do not understand the codes being used to store the data. When I import the RAW file I got a total of 6 points read in and no raw data. All of the Notes did come through into the traverse file but nothing else was recognized.

The data files were forwarded to the development team for future consideration.
