point number, elevation, description and node

Post by isi-austin » Thu Apr 15, 2004 12:15 pm

One of my clients does not have mscad. I send him drawings with nodes, point numbers, elevations, and descriptions. All these are seperate entities, is there a way to link all four together so that when he clicks on the description the point number, elevation and node get highlighted or clicking on any one attribute will highlight the others? Thank you for your help.

Our Point data by default, is setup as you described, each as a seperate item, linked to the others via EED (Extended Entity Data).

We do have the ability to create Point Blocks, to work similar to what you have asked.

Go under the MicroSurvey menu -> Other Program Ties, in there you can create LDD/Softdesk/DCA Point Blocks, Eagle Point Blocks, Carlson Point Blocks, etc. You will have to see what your client would prefer and use that option.

It will create a new set of points on different layers - freeze our original layers - then save it and send it to your client.
