GPS SITE CALIBRATION HELP

Post by Guest » Thu Sep 30, 2004 7:38 pm

I need some help from you concerning FG2004 and GPS localization to an existing local ground coordinate system.

I need DETAILED, STEP BY STEP instructions for GPS localization and/or site calibration so my future GPS shots appear properly and in relation to my existing points.

Let's say I have an existing Pt.# 5000, Pt.# 103 and Pt.# 206.

Once I set my GPS base over Pt.# 5000, how do I localize on Points 103 and 206 for other GPS observations to be in relation to the existing points.

I have read and tried the procedures you have documented. I can't seem to make it work.

Also, when do you think the 1.0.9 release will be ready. I really need a fix for the descriptions being fragmented and the ASCII export problem fixed.

Thanks

New movie on this...

Hi there,

Jason made a new movie that explains how this is done. It is very, very easy! Plus you can add more control points as you complete the survey and FieldGenius will automatically adjust the coordinates that you have already picked up :D
