Rain that evil four letter word

Post by Dylan » Fri Aug 26, 2005 4:12 am

We were measuring a addition for a school using the tracker. It started lightly raining and my touch screen on our tracker stopped working. We've sent it back but i'm not sure that its really what we need. We need water proof. I promise i won't swear any more. I'll be a good boy and go to church too. yeah right.

Hello,

We have more information on this issue. If your Tracker is working correctly, it can be upgraded to an IP65 unit. Please contact your sales representative for more information.

The IP65 rating is available at http://www.2t.com/ip_rating_system.htm

Ip65

Yes we would definately be interested in that model. However i'm not sure our tracker is still working. You guys will have to repair the touch screen or whatever is wrong with it i would think. We need water proof though. IP 65 sounds good, very good.

Rain

Post by barryhaupt » Tue Mar 14, 2006 8:55 am

I purchased my Tracker in 2005 and have not used it much, but as I plan to start using it quite a bit starting now, I am disappointed to read about all the problems people are having with rain. Shame on me for not checking into this before I purchased my unit.

What to do now? Idea. What if I purchase a box of poly bags from Uline.com and carry the box in the truck. If it starts to rain, I can put a poly bag over the Tracker and continue to march.

Has anyone else thought of this? If so, does it work?

Thanks,
BH

With both models of the Tracker, a protective case is supplied. It seems to do a good job, when used

I'd just keep the case in the truck....if it starts raining, slip it in the case...and keep on rocking.....
