gps high temperature failure Sokkia Point Radian is 6100

Postby mlbrack » Fri Jul 14, 2006 8:41 am

I can't keep my base station running.

Point 6100IS (supposedly 130 deg rated) is failing at temperatures above 95-100 deg.

I've heard of heat sinks or coolers. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

you might have better luck posting this queston on the www.RPLS.com message board....look on the top of the page....they have a forum for Sokkia

Might get more response from other Sokkia users there.

Yeah...........what the last guy said! I have used Trimble in everything from 40C to -50C and have never had a problem.
