Moving items from one layer to another.

Post by B. K. Lemons » Fri Dec 15, 2006 2:21 pm

How do I move a drawn object from one layer to another.

Say, for example, I plotted a metes and bounds description with cogo in my ADJOINING BOUNDARY layer. But I should have plotted it in my PROPERTY BOUNDARY layer, instead. How do I move the plotted lines from the ADJOINING BOUNDARY layer to the PROPERTY BOUNDARY layer.

Thanks in advance,
BKL

Found the answer, but might not be the easiest way.

This may not be the easiest way, although it probably is. If there is an easier way, I would appreciate any tips about that.

Turn grips on.
Double-click the entity and open Entity Properties.
Change the layer in the upper left-hand drop-down Layer menu.

Thanks,
BKL

Edit: After writing the above I found that I can do it using the layer selection drop-down on the toolbar.

So thanks, anyway.
