Layer of object in an Xref file

Post by dmoses » Tue Mar 27, 2007 10:25 am

Is there a way to select an object that is in an attached xref file and identify what layer it is on in the xref file?

There is only two ways I know.

1. Bind Xref drawing.

2. Open Xref drawing in Second Window and list Layer.

Yes, once bound the xref'ed drawing is basically an inserted block.
