Curve Labelling

Post by Tom1981 » Mon Aug 29, 2005 12:37 pm

Hi,

Is there any way to change the order of the insertion of text in labelling curves? Specifically, when labelling off arc (not aligned with the arc) the default text is:

R=100.00
A=23.66
C=23.65
N58%%d49'00"E

The question is can it be changed to:

A=23.66
R=100.00
C=23.65
N58%%d49'00"E

I was taught this format as the 3 letters (top to bottom) spell ARC and it helps to keep the A & C separated for better readability, for users when they are reading information off a plan.

Glen,

If there is no option to change the format can this be added to the wish list.

Tom

The default order is hard set but you can pick the location of each piece of text, so you can manually place them in the order that you wish on the plan.

Curve labelling - Improve for MSCAD 2008

Post by DKNTEC » Thu Jul 19, 2007 4:54 pm

I also request the ability to modify or rearrange the listing format.
This would be very useful to suit our or a client's different preferences.
Yes, we can do it manually, but it is tedious to do many, & as a design changes!

Other suggestions for improvement to Label Curves – off curve.
-Label in same sequence as Curve information
-Add Sub Tangent Length (Curve PI to EC or BC)
This IS shown in Curve info, but called is Tangent Length- wrong I think).
This distance can be very useful for layout work, & we want it on our working drawings.
Have to add it manually to dwg now -ugh!
Thx
