MSCAD 2005 - lines and points don't coincide

Postby cbunker » Tue Oct 16, 2007 4:35 am

We're working with a new drawing that was started in MSCAD 2005 SP3 a couple of months ago. We've imported a few more shots from some additional field work, and have drawn lines between them using the COGO command and the Connect_points command.

When we turn on the IPN and the point layer, and zoom in to the end of a line, we can see that the ends of the lines are not drawn to the points. Looking at the older linework from when we first started the drawing, we can see that they show the same issue. There appears to be a straight shift of about 0.018m between the points and the lines. However, querying the lines by clicking on them shows that they are drawn between the correct points.

Has anyone run into this before? Since it's consistent throughout the drawing, it shouldn't be a major issue, but it is a little disconcerting.

Thanks,
Chris

Sounds like you are not in plan view. Type in PLAN and press enter twice, then check it out again.

That's it! Thanks Glen. I'm not sure how we got out of plan view in the first place, though.
