Crash - Print Preview

I have just downloaded the 2009 Premium and have being trying it out.
Knowing that we always had issues with 2008 and the print window, I decided to check out 2009.

I have found on my system that when I do a print preview that the program crashes...every time...
Is there anyone else that is having this issue?

This is for all 2009 users - if you experience a Windows Crash and are asked to send information to Microsoft about the crash - in the past we always said no to this because it did not help - BUT for 2009 PLEASE answer YES. We now have the ability to acess the data about these crashes to try and figure out what is happening in the program.

We will not be able to use it for specific issues to help with technical support - but our programming staff will be able to see patterns and development issues much quicker and easier for the overall health of the program.

For this particular case - not much we can do when it fails on one computer only. It is something related to that computer, its settings, drivers, confiurations, registry entries, etc. - no way to really track this issue down without MANY hours of trial and error on the users behalf.

Thank you. I will be trying this out on other systems over the Christmas break. I also have submitted my error reports each time this happens.

Printer Driver

Hello Booker,

I remember this issue from a year ago when people were trying out MSCAD 2008. It may be related to the printer driver.

If you haven't already, try setting the printer to another one in the office or install a pdf creator, there is an article in Helpdesk. This can help you determine if the problem is caused by the printer.

If it is, try assigning the default printer to another printer and then back to your current one via the Widows Start Button | Printer configuration dialog.

If that fails try reinstalling or updating the printer driver.
