inserted picture will not delete

Post by kevinnem » Fri Oct 24, 2008 6:56 am

Hello everyone, Some time ago I placed a screen capture into micro survery so that I could trace a line and get it in to my drawing.

It seems I can't remove this picture now.

I can't seem to "select" this picture, in order to delete it.

Ideas?

Try running the command IMAGE and see if it shows up in there. If so then you should be able to remove it via this command.

What version of MicroSuvey did use to insert image.

I have not used it for some time, but there was more then one way to insert a image.

Did you remove image from folder. If the computer can't find it, then it won't show it.

If the image had been inserted as a object, then it would be part of drawing. Just pick edge of picture and cut.

Should have showed up when you typed Image, just pick on link and detach.

Again hard question are done better when you go to support desk and ask.

Hi, if it was inserted as an OLE Object (via the OBJECT command) then you may be able to right-click over the image and pick Remove. If an image was inserted as an OLE Object then it will not show up in the Image Manager. This can also happen with word doc files, excel sheets, pdf files etc.

I am working in MSCAD2005

I tried the "object" command, in the commandline, my computer doesn't recognise it.

I am unable to click or select the image in any way.

It is possible that the original location of the image changed or was delete (I am on a new computer).

If the DWG file is not too big (zip it up if required) please email it to me at glen.cameron@microsurvey.com and I will open a support ticket and examine it for you.

I got your file. I am not sure why MicroSurvey CAD 2005 can not delete or remove the raster image. I was able to do it with the new MicroSurvey CAD 2009. So I did so and then saved it back to a 2004 DWG file so it can be opened again in MicroSurvey CAD 2005. I have attached the DWG back to you.

Maybe it is time to consider upgrading your older program to the current version.
