EXPORTING WITH AN IMAGE INVOLVED.

Post by hiscock_wayne » Tue Aug 02, 2011 1:42 pm

I can't seem to export my drawing to pdf and have it keep its image (where I raster in my companies logo in the bottom corner of the drawing). Any suggestions other than plotting from cad and scanning as a pdf?

Is the logo layer 'printable'" That is - is it set to 'not print'?

I don't have any problem with bmp logo's.

Sometimes I just insert the logo into the PDF.
Can you do that?

I put my logo on a normal layer and all is printable.......but when I export the dwg to pdf......everything works fine except the logo.

Are you exporting to a pdf or printing to a pdf?

I suspect that is where your problem may lie, especially if the logo is there when you print onto paper. (But if it's not...i dunno)

If you don't have one, get yourself some pdf creation software for your computer. There are plenty of free ones out there (I use PDFCreator). Once it is installed you just go to print your dwg as you would if you were sending it to a real printer, but select the pdf printer instead.

Oh, I'm a she, not a he. :)

This could be a DRAW ORDER issue in the CADD drawing. cad tools_draw order_Front.

Thanks for all your advice everyone......I'll try some of those different methods.

PS Sorry for the gender mishap "fjt_aus". My apologies! :)
