Jason Poitras wrote:Because we are mid-year with the release we decided to change the name of the product from MicroSurvey CAD 2012 to MicroSurvey CAD 2013. Because the next version of MicroSurvey CAD now has "2013" in the name, it does not imply that it will be released in 2013. It's just what I call marketing fluff, it's just a number.

Heh, I just saw an ad in POB's August 2012 issue (page 35) that shows MicroSurvey CAD 2012. :)

Heh, I'm guessing that MsCAD2012(3) will be released after your subscription expires but before your birthday.

That would be good. Right now I'm playing with a 725M tiff file. ie a 20 mile long strip maybe 1000' wide, 1' pixels. From what I've read, the new cad engine should be able to handle this much better. Still would rather have it right than quick. However, the difference and the bet is providing an interesting conversation. :P

Got 2013. I've worked through most of the quirks/bugs/general setup problems, all of which can be expected to 'some' degree. Bottom line....I'll wait till sp1 comes out. TM was right, Don't issue the software until it is ready to go!
