Traverse editor import angular units gons as degrees .

Postby topomas » Thu Mar 14, 2013 12:57 pm

Here in Greece we work with angular units Gons .

So , when i import my sokkia file sdr33 with gons as angular unit the traverse editor can't understand it as gons and translate it (wrong) to degrees , minutes , sec angular unit .

Microsurvey have the ability to work with gons or it works only with degrees ? I know that the most surveyors in the globe works with degrees angular unit

Have you tried setting your Drawing Settings => Drawing Units => Angular settings => to Grads before importing your SDR33 file?

Man, that would be really annoying and a good source for errors! :|

Hi,
Support for gons/grads via the UNITS variable is currently limited to only the CAD engine (ie: drawing or listing lines) and a very small number of survey commands (ie: COGO). We know that adding full support for Gons/Grads and Millimeters for the survey commands would be useful, particularly for European users, but I would suggest posting this into our feature request forum.
